JA Engineering was established in 1996 to provide Electronic Engineering Services to businesses that required fresh ideas and innovative solutions in electronics. We also provide the service of designing test fixtures and portable testers for any device. Our customer base includes Ford Electronics in Markham (now Visteon Manufacturing), Wabco (Westinghouse Air Brake Company) in Stoney Creek and Silvano Color Laboratories in Toronto.

Although JA Engineering is relatively new, it is not without experience. It is backed by 10 years of electronic design experience in the photo finishing industry and 2 years of independent contracting. This experience includes interfacing computers to:

AC motors
DC servo motors
Stepper motors
AC and DC solenoids
Analog and Digital sensor feedback
RS232 interfacing

The above devices can be controlled by a one chip computer called a microcontroller, an embedded PC or a full scale computer. These computers can:

control basic input/output
communicate via RS232
be programmed to meet the exact requirements of the machine
control LCD displays
scan small keyboards or pushbuttons

This technology can enhance and automate older machines. With updated machines, you now can improve production and lower your maintenance costs.

Depending upon the size and the complexity of the requirements, a small personal computer could also be utilized for control of such a design. These requirements can be determined by a one on one consultation.
